| The 457 FS aircraft

FS arrived a day later as Cube 21-26. From
944 FG History: From 1 Jan - 5 Feb, 94[1],
the 944th Fighter Group deployed over 400 personnel and six F-16C aircraft
on its second major operational deployment in less than a year with a
coalition task force. The deployment was in support of “Operation
Deny Flight” (a UN resolution designed to ban military flights
in airspace over Bosnia-Herzegovina). Utilizing 12 F-16C aircraft (6
from Carswell AFB, and 6 from the 944th), 944th pilots flew 371 sorties,
1043.6 hours, with only eight cancellations due to weather or operations. [1] These dates are when 302 FS crews took over from 457 FS personnel. [2] Possibly marked '301 FW' |
