41-44. 1 FW History has this to say about
the deployment: The 27 FS deployed 8 F-15Cs and 127 personnel to Cambrai, France. This deployment fell under the Checkered Flag program, with further tasking to participate in the 50th Anniversary of D-Day fly-by's, the JCS exercise "Central Enterprise," and training with French Mirage 2000's and F-1's. The squadron fulfilled all training objectives, including joint exercises with Mirage 2000's; however, the fly-by sorties were canceled due to weather conditions. The 27th flew 195 sorties for 365.7 hours during the deployment. |
